Meet Stephanie (and Auditoria)

I met Stephanie the way all good SaaS friendships start: on LinkedIn.

I love connecting with Sybill customers on LinkedIn, and messages like this are my favorite. But this one was special.

Stephanie let me know she loves Sybill. And she went on to say that Sybill has changed her whole life as a salesperson. So much so, that her leadership team asked her to present on it at Auditoria’s SKO.

Stephanie was one of Auditoria’s first sellers. She’s smart, direct, no-BS… everything you’d want in an early sales hire.

It’s also why she was skeptical when Auditoria brought on a new tool called “Sybill.”

She'd been through so many tools in her career, and had recently stitched together Chorus and ChatGPT into a workflow that kind of worked. How much better could Sybill really be?

So for a while, she didn’t touch it. Until she lost the biggest deal of her career.

The BPO Smoking Gun

Stephanie had been brought in late to a massive deaI. So she did what any good rep would do: she read the notes, ran discovery, and even went onsite for a meeting. By all accounts, everything was looking good.

Then.... Auditoria lost the deal.

Naturally, Stephanie was shocked.

“I was super mad about it. I had talked to leaders. I was racking my brain: how could we lose this?"

She decided to crack open Sybill for the first time and run a post-mortem. “I’m gonna see if I missed something.”

Sure enough, Sybill caught an offhanded comment from the prospect: they were planning on outsourcing this work, making Auditoria’s product redundant. The prospect already committed to the BPO (business process outsourcing), and now they were just evaluating Auditoria as a backstop.

All that time, effort, and energy was thrown into a deal that wasn’t going to go anywhere.

Sybill called it the “BPO Smoking Gun.”

“Sybill saw it and we totally missed it.”

Stephanie said it was a “career changing moment.”

SKO-worthy Ways Stephanie Runs Her Deals with Sybill

The BPO Smoking Gun converted Stephanie from a Sybill skeptic to a Sybill-vangelist. So much so that her VP asked her to demo how she uses Sybill at Auditoria’s SKO.

Here’s four ways Stephanie uses Sybill that she shared with her team:

1. Running Pre-mortems

After the whale that got away, Stephanie kept running post-mortems, but she also started running pre-mortems: deep, mid-deal audits to figure out what might kill a deal before it actually happens.

Rather than waiting until after a loss to ask Sybill what happened, she asks about potential deal killers during the deal.

"I learned my lesson. Every time I get done with a call, I've been asking Sybill: what did we hear? What did I miss? What do I need to accomplish on the next call that is a gap in my MEDDPICC analysis?"

It’s the difference between “what killed this deal” to “what could kill this deal.”

And with Sybill’s new Automated Prompts, Stephanie can have this prompt fire automatically after every single meeting she takes.

2. Self-coaching on the Pain Funnel

Stephanie's enablement leader was running daily call scorecards across the team. Stephanie was killing it in all categories except one: the Pain Funnel.

So she started asking Sybill “why do I suck at this?” And for every deal firing off this prompt:

“For this deal, how did I qualify Pain Funnel?”

That was a cool way to start. But then she built Sybill’s feedback into her pre-meeting briefs.

Now, before every meeting, Sybill gives Stephanie a list of questions based on areas of the Pain Funnel she didn’t address on the previous call.

With Sybill’s help and a few months of practice, she improved.

"Yesterday I got a 9 out of 10 score on Pain Funnel for a call I ran. I was super proud of myself.”

3. Re-engaging forgotten deals

One of Stephanie’s team members flagged a stale deal with renewed interest. She had worked the deal months prior, but in her words, “I had no idea what I talked to (Prospect) about."

So rather than digging through CRM notes or binge-watching call recordings, she opened Sybill and asked ‘what's the latest on (Deal Name)?’

Sybill told her that the deal had been stalled since July, and gave her all the need-to-knows to pick the conversation back up.

From there, she used Sybill to draft a re-engagement email based on the past deal context. This is a play she runs any time a re-engagement opportunity presents itself.

4. Fact-checking forecasts

Stephanie was working an enterprise deal forecasted for a big close.

While building the business case, she asked Sybill to help her figure out what the customer actually cared about:

  • where the real ROI was,
  • what problems they had stated,
  • and why the customer needed the product.

Sybill’s response surprised her.

Sybill didn’t just spit back generic talking points. It had an opinion on the deal: the forecast was built on the wrong product.

This customer wasn't ready to buy Product A. They were ready to buy Product B – a different, less expensive product.

Sybill justified the analysis with pain points, ROI for the customer, and direct quotes from the prospect.

She took that analysis back to the prospect, and Sybill was right. They wanted Product B.

The deal trajectory changed immediately. An inflated forecast became a clean commit, and the close quickly followed.

(TLDR: Sybill knew the deal was smaller than it looked.)

Stephanie’s Workflow Before vs. After Sybill

Before Sybill, Stephanie's deal workflow looked like this:

Copy notes from Chorus → paste them into ChatGPT → and write follow-up emails manually for every call.

Sometimes that took 30–60 minutes. On more hectic weeks (end of quarter, back-to-back demos) it meant working through the weekend.

"Prior to Sybill? No chance. I would have been screwed, honestly. I would have been working through the weekend."

Now Sybill builds the recap, creates the follow-ups, and drives the agenda. All the admin is handled for her, with dead-accurate deal context baked in.

But the flip for Stephanie wasn't just time savings. It was the shift from Sybill being an admin tool to Sybill being a deal memory. She uses it to understand her deals, spot patterns she’d miss, and give her opinions on how to move deals forward.

"I'm not on every call. I can't be. But I can use Sybill to look into what's going on. What's the account health? What's the context? The holistic life of my job — a lot of it relies on Sybill."

Summary

Stephanie started off as a Sybill skeptic, but now Sybill is like her second deal brain.

With Sybill, Stephanie:

  • Runs pre-mortems on every deal, so Sybill can spot deal killers before they happen.
  • Coached herself to a 9/10 Pain Funnel score by asking Sybill what she was missing and using it to prep better questions before every call.
  • Re-engaged a stalled deal in minutes, with full context and a ready-to-send re-engagment email.
  • Resized an inflated forecast to a clean commit by letting Sybill tell her what the customer actually wanted.
  • Saves herself a weekend of follow-up work on a packed end-of-quarter week, because Sybill covers follow-ups and summaries for her.

Bottom line: Sybill not only helps Stephanie knock out admin faster, it helps her catch signals she didn’t see, understand deals she wasn't on, and show up to every call knowing more than she would have otherwise. It’s more than just a nice-to-have, it’s changed how she sells from the ground up.
